Cooler than the blue dress :: What I Wore Today

When Aarefa from Prodigy Red got in touch asking if I wanted to work with them I was happy to, as Prodigy Red has some amazing on trend stock that is affordable, which gets me excited! They have been spotted on celebs such as Tulisa who you might have spotted rocking this Houndstooth skater dress!

Letting me pick what I wanted from the site I was immediately drawn to this electic blue skater dress. I am a massive fan of the skater dress/skirt look, it suits my shape perfectly as it skims over my hips and balances me out. I love a colour pop garment too, especially in a dress. This electric blue is so vivid, I adore it. I liked this dress so much I actually managed to crack a smile! Enjoy!

Dress*// Prodigy Red // £14.99
Jacket// Primark // £7.00 (in the sale)
Fur collar //H&M // £7.99
Necklace // H&M // £9.99
Nail polish // Primark //Part of a set

The dress itself is made with a stretchy material which means it remains true to size.  I ordered a 10 as I figured an 8 would cause me arm issues! I have broad shoulders so sleeveless dresses  can sometimes look a little bit strange, but this one fit me like a glove.  It has a black mesh feature at the top of the arms too which I think looks brilliant.  It draws the eye in so you end up looking slimmer up top! Especially great for bigger chested girls!

The belt it comes with is a basic PVC belt, I think I am going to have to make an extra hole in the belt as it was a tad too big for me, but I imagine this is because I went for a 10 rather than my usual 8. So not too much of an issue for me!

I was really impressed with the speed I received the dress, it only took a couple of days.  So I wouldn't hesitate to order from them for a night out as I am confident it would get to me on time! Another bonus is that they have guest checkout now which is great if you are like me and don't always like being obligated to create an account! They will also send you an email when an item you want is back in stock! Anything that makes it easier and quicker to shop is fine by me! Postage is free if you spend over £15, 3.99 for standard delivery and £4.99 for next day! What are you waiting for!

Cannot forget to mention the jacket! Originally £16 (which lets face it is a bargain anyway) it's a size 16 so it fits me like a coat/jacket rather than a blazer (which is what I assume it's meant to look like) and I love it! It's very River Island and the material is so soft but still sturdy.  This is still in stores.  The necklace is another H&M beauty, they do brilliant necklaces, can't go wrong!

Will you be checking out Prodigy Red? Let me know if you do! Don't forget to check out my last outfit post and my Blogger of the Week feature on the Company Magazine website!!

Oh yeah....wait...

And then came the dancing......

Now, not a lot of people would begin to boogie on down in their own back garden and then there was me.  This is a dancing dress after all, a twirly skater dress that moves with every shake, thrust and hoola of the hips.  Officially tried, tested and approved by me!

    1. I curled it using my hair straighteners. Wrap it around the hair, and pull away from your head while pressing straighteners tightly together, not as harsh on your hair as it sounds! But gets curls that stay in all day :)

    1. When I was trying to find a necklace to wear with it, I pulled this out of my jewellery box and nearly put it straight back! Glad I didn't, think I am going to clash jewellery more often!
