Ascel Silky Gel Lip Mask - Review

I haven't blogged in so long! I've been so busy with work and home life I just literally haven't had the time to do it! But I have still been using lots and lots of lovely beauty products! One I've been using regularly is the Ascel Silky Lip Mask*. I was sent this a couple of weeks ago now and have been using it since then around two times a day. I have a big problem with my lips, they get really dry and I have major problems with applying lipstick, it flakes off after so long and I always have to switch to lipgloss!

Nightmare! So when given a choice of products I immediately went for this one to test run for you, if it can sort out my lips then it can sort out anyone's  The mask itself is gel like as described and sits on your lips for 15 to 20 minutes on top of a balm, cream or even an eye cream of your choice.  I went for my trusty Nivea Lip Butter.  Apply balm, place mask over your lips and chill out! Simple! Few odd looks from the other half aside I had no issues with doing this for a couple of weeks.

As for the results I can definitely feel a drastic improvement.  The product claims to  make your lips plumper and change your lips to a 'pinkish' colour. My lips feel smoother and just look a heck of a lot healthier. The winter can play havoc with your skin and lips tend to be forgotten about, I am majorly guilty of this so using a product like this is a bit of a treat for me. I know what you might say, the lip butter was doing all the work.  But I'll be honest with you, I use my Nivea a million times a day, I'm actually obsessed with applying it and my lips are still constantly dry! I even keep a lip balm in the till draw at work, obsessed! So I have to say the mask did some of the work too.

What worked best for me is using the mask twice a day and I saw some results as soon as the day after.  Using it for two weeks has made my lips feel less dry and I could see a definite improvement with lipstick application and staying power.  If you suffer from extremely dry lips I would say try this product out.  At the very least it will improve dull looking lips!

You can buy the product here from Tanning and Beauty World priced at £19.95 for a pack of 4! They also have other products in the Ascel range that look mighty interesting! I wouldn't mind trying out the Eye Mask and the Youth Recall Serum myself!

Have you ever tried out Ascel? What do you think of lip treatments in general? Nothing a trusty pot of Vaseline can't fix? Let me know!
